What is an HPC registered Podiatrist/Chiropodist?
HPC registered practitioners  can work in the NHS or privately. Major insurance
companies insist on this qualification. They also have to complete regular update
training. Not all Podiatrists prescribe custom orthoses for sport, so please discuss your individual requirements before booking an appointment.

What are the benefits to you?
Custom made devices control abnormal motion and may eliminate the jarring effect. They are likely to substantially reduce injury rate, may aid the healing of existing injuries and slow down wear and tear. This does of course vary, depending on the individual’s biomechanics, and must be discussed with specialists in this area.

Could I be tested and discuss my biomechanics to prevent problems?
Certainly!  In fact we strongly recommend that everyone should see a podiatrist at least once a year. We only prescribe orthoses when there is a strong medical rationale and the patient is likely to benefit significantly.
